Birthday Party

Saturday we drove up to Deer Creek to celebrate Sami's birthday. I can't believe that she is turning 13 in October. I remember going to her 2nd birthday. It is amazing how fast time goes by.

Since Judy had to make 2 cakes she decorated one for Reggie. I know...isn't he spoiled?!?! Next year is going to be the big "30" so keep the end of Sept open for a party!!!

BABY!!!

On Sunday my friends Steph and Scott welcomed a little girl into the world. Ellie Mika Johnson was born at 7:25 pm weighing 9 pounds 9 ounces and 21 inches long. She is happy and healthy and everyone is doing wonderful.

I went after work today to see them. She is definately a keeper. Her hands and feet are so big...probably going to be a basketball player!!

60th Wedding Anniversary

On Saturday we went to Rose Creek, MN to help celebrate my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. My grandpa had rented a log cabin on Saturday and Reggie and I and the girls along with Jason, Marissa, Jenny and Lyle stayed there Saturday night. On Sunday around 1130 the rest of our family came to celebrate. We had food catered in from a local restaurant. It was alot of fun and the first time that most of my family has seen Emma.

Hair Cut

So I decided to finally get Madalynn's hair cut. WHAT A MESS!!! I wanted to go to a place that specialized in cutting kid's hair. Madalynn was crabby and didn't want to sit on the animals. She also didn't want to sit anywhere other than my lap. So...we didn't get any picture of the actual hair cut. The lady cut about 1/2 inch off the back and was suppose to angle the sides to make it blend in but I don't think she did that. The whole hair cut lasted about 5 minutes. I don't think that we will be going back there again.

Here is Madalynn in the car right after the hair cut.

Here is Madalynn holding the certificate that says she survived her first hair cut.

We have had a very interesting couple of weeks. Our daycare lady quit so last week we spent the week interviewing and trying to find a new daycare for the girls. We found one that we like but it is alot spendier than Barb was. Sunday Madalynn was singing "Jesus loves me" and we realized how much we are going to miss Barb. On Monday evening Madalynn and I went to go to Barb's to pick up our stuff and drop it off at Dana's. Madalynn cried when we had to leave Barb's but I felt much better when she ran up to Dana and hugged her.

Tuesday Madalynn woke up with a temp. I gave her Tylenol and Ibuprofen and sent her to daycare...I know what a mean Mom!! When I went to pick her up her temp was 102.4. Needless to say she stayed home from daycare today. Reggie and I are lucky that we have flexible hours so he went to work in the morning and I worked in the afternoon into the evening. She is still running a temp but we are hoping that by tomorrow it will be gone...I am not holding my breath.

Here are a couple pictures of Emma's 3 month pictures from JC Penny. You wouldn't know that I had to really work to get her to smile. She has been doing good. I keep thinking how lucky we are that she is an easy baby. Hopefully she doesn't get what Madalynn has.

GO VIKINGS!!!

What a pretty girl!

She is getting chunkier.
