Getting ready for Easter

On April 3rd we spent the morning dying Easter eggs and then in the afternoon went to an Easter Egg Hunt. The girls had so much fun. I think next year will be better because they will understand it more. Waiting on the bench for the Egg Hunt to start

Stitches

On Monday Reggie paged me at work to tell me that Maddie had her finger slammed in the door at daycare and needed stitches. He took her to urgent care and I met him there. Her hand was wrapped pretty good and the bandages were soaked with blood. It looked like it hurt so bad. Maddie was such a trooper though. She didn't even cry when they soaked her hand an took an xray. She did cry pretty hard when they were cleaning it and stitching it back up but I don't blame her. Emma and Reggie were in the waiting room and could hear her screaming. Emma turned to Reggie and said "Maddie...go see" She wanted to come and see why Maddie was crying...what a great sister!!! A couple of weeks ago, my mom, my sister, Maddie and I went tubing in Maple Grove. Here is the video of the 3 of them coming down the hill. It was so much fun!

February

It has been a long time since I posted anything on here so unfortunately I am posting the whole month of Feb. So here is what we have been doing lately...

Charlee Judith was born on February 2nd. It is so exciting to have another niece. We were able to go and see her when she was less than 2 weeks old.

My mom came a couple of weekends ago. We went sledding, cross country sking and tubing. Here are some pictures of the girls decorating foam eggs with Grandma.

We are ready for Spring!

New Years Eve

We were lucky to be invited to "An Evening in Paris" by the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation on New Years Eve by our friends Jason and Bridget. The girls were able to ring in the new year with Grandpa and Grandma Becker.

The evening consisted of the following:
7:00 Ballroom dancing lessons
8:00 Horsd'oeuvres and music by a String Trio
9:00 Sumptuous Five-Course French Dinner, Espresso Bar and Dancing to the 20-piece MState Jazz Band
12:00 Champagne Toast and the announcements of a trip to Paris and a Diamond Ring.

They had 100 glasses of champagne with a diamond tied to each of them. For $50 you could pick a glass and 1 of the 10o was a real diamond and the others were CZ's. Jason refused all night to buy Bridget one and she REALLY wanted one but it had to be #31 (the date their son was born) He said it wasn't practical and they would never win. Well, he didn't buy her one and the number that was drawn was...#31!!!!! Can you believe it? She could have been walking out of there with a $2,200 diamond. We made sure we gave him a hard time the rest of the time we were there.

Christmas

Christmas started on the 23rd with opening presents between the 4 of us. On Christmas Eve morning we drove to Wadena to my parents. I was expecting the roads to be bad but they weren't too bad at all. We went to church that night with my mom and dad. On Christmas Day, Santa brought a bunch of gifts for the girls. We spent the morning opening presents from Santa and then from each other. My brother was not able to make it but he had sent his gifts with my mom when she babysat Simon a few days earlier.

On Saturday we went to Hancock for the Becker Christmas. We were suppose to start eating/opening gifts at around 11ish but Jay didn't show up until 1:30pm. I guess he had some problems with the furnace and had to shovel. We left Hancock on Sunday around 1pm to head home. It was great to spend time with our family.
